Metal Jacket Magazine – Show Review: 2019 Six Feet Under European Tour in Zagreb, Croatia by Mislav Mihaljević,metaljacketmagazine.com

The last supporting act, and by stage presence, the biggest supporting act was Short Fuse. They kicked in straight forward by playing death metal filled with melodic elements, and they did not make a mistake. Crowd, now a bit bigger as well, was thrilled, many horns and middle fingers were swaying through the air. Short Fuse was just the right choice to warm us all up for the death metal legends to come.

Sanctified Magazine – Show Review: Mayhem Fest 2012 at Shoreline Amphitheater, Posted by Kore,sanctifiedmagazine.com

Perhaps one of the best examples of this was South Bay locals, Short Fuse. Winning the Sumerian Records local artist battle for a chance to play Mayhem Fest 2012 (and by a landslide), Short Fuse came out all guns a blazing, pulling no punches. This Group had such a raw energy that spewed from the amplifiers right into the souls of the crowd, and things got CRAZY! Short Fuse have a very heavy, yet melodic sound that is iced with Myke DiBattista's incredible and rare vocal talent; epitomizing all that you have grown to expect from a Mayhem Festival headliner. During their set, A Band Of Orcs joined Short Fuse on stage to rock out and pay their respects. Inciting a photo snapping frenzy, Paul Hastey, (Vocalist in another local heavy hitting band, Angerhead) Jumped on stage along with the orcs to back up vocals for DiBattista on their closing song, 'Fuck The World.' It is safe to say that Short Fuse gave any headlining band on the main stage a run for their money as far as being the top performance. Headlining Mayhem fest this year was the ever so obnoxious Devil Wears Prada, the pioneering Motorhead, the unholy Slayer, and the almighty Slipknot. The Devil Wears Prada shared the same set time as Short Fuse so their performance was happily missed.

Grimy Goods – Show Review by Jeremy Bigelow,grimygoods.com

Short Fuse, a harmonic death metal band, was a nice jolt out of the hardcore music that had (up to that point) been dominating the festival. Their singer, complete with foot-long dreads, growled and screamed like a convulsing rabid beast, giving off a stage presence of pure violence. Their keyboardist had a very cool setup: his keys were attached to a large, metallic coil, which allowed him to swing it side to side and back and forth, allowing him maximum head-banging capacity.

Hollywood Music Magazine – CD Review by Nadia Guardado,hollywoodmusicmagazine.com

San Francisco's very own 'Short Fuse' have come a long way since forming from the ashes of a previous project in 2005 and have finally finished their second album entitled "Shred The Dead", which is available as of May 9th. Knowing most of the guys since I was 12, I am extremely proud and admire all the hard work they've put forth in order to make the band what it is today. 'Shred The Dead' is 12 tracks of straight up grindcore metal that will make your ears bleed and wanna punch the person next to you. Short Fuse is no stranger to playing in front of thousands of people at festivals like Locobazooka, MetalFest, LocoFest and sharing the stage with national acts such as In This Moment, Hed PE, Suicide Silence and many more. This year they are playing California MetalFest on opening day, May 15th at the Fox Theatre in Pomona, CA along side Fear Factory, WhiteChapel, Job For A Cowboy and many others. Bottom line is if you wanna hear some grind style metal that raises the bar of what this genre is supposed to sound like from one of the hardest working bands ever then head on over to their MySpace and buy their new album and check out their music both old and new. You won't be disappointed.

NoizeFront Magazine – CD Review by Steph,noizefront.net

With their debut album, Short Fuse manages to accomplish a feat that hasn't occurred in years... a compilation with multiple tracks enjoyable to each one of my friends' musical tastes. In short? FINALLY a cd that can be played over the car stereo on road trips. What makes Short Fuse unique in the hum drum of today's Alternative scene is that it is very clear they do not have one particular musical influence. Listening to the album you can sense all the stylings of such bands as American Head Charge, Dope, Lacuna Coil, Slipknot and more! With raw, penetrating vocals from Myke DiBattista and lyrics that will have you proudly displaying metal to all passersby, this album receives Rock Star nods all around. Be sure to pick up this album before your next road trip. It's a MUST have.

All Access Magazine – CD Review by The PRD,allaccessmagazine.com

Hook, line, sinker! The first two songs set the high bar to 'Hate Brought To This Place Called Home'. The band is powered by, Myke DiBattista (Vocals), Anthony Flick (Guitar), Scott Chavez (Guitar) Tony Eakes (Bass), Kenny Pardo (Drums), Martin Boynton (Keys/Programming) Short Fuse is a band that will be on the tip of everyone's tongue before the year is out. The band's debut 'Hate Brought To This Place Called Home' is a testerone packed recording that when heard by the masses will be a massive breakthrough and reaching a level of success that their peers have achieved much quicker. If you don't already own this album I suggest picking it up now! You are truely missing out on a genre making album. 'Hate Brought To This Place Called Home' is a lethal dose of aggression and mayhem filtered through a refreshing maturity in the songwriting department. As is evident on track like, "Pain Machine", the go for the throat, "Damage To You" and "Unsaved". Aggressive, relentless and intense 'Hate Brought To This Place Called Home' is a rock juggernaut with one hellacious attitude. Plain and simple. If you love metal and its many many forms I can NOT recommend this enough. Now what the hell are you doing still reading this!?!? Go out and buy it. Enjoy. Raginpit Magazine – Performance Review by Jerri Alley,raginpit.com

Short Fuse and Trigger Point Light Up Gaslighter in Campbell Last but not least at the Gaslighter, we succumbed to Short Fuse. This show being the CD release of Hate Brought To This Place Called Home, avid fans grabbed up the free copies being given out. Soon to be flying out to Fitchburg, Ma. to play Locobazooka! with Disturbed, God Forbid, Dope, and others; these six guys took to the stage like a punch in the head. Shifting the crowd off their asses and into the pit, Short Fuse unleashed sound much like more seasoned bands. Lead vocalist Myke DiBattista worked the crowd as a charismatic front man. He reminded me of a rougher, huskier, Brendan Fraser with a nose-ring and dreads. Almost soft-spoken in person, Myke dominated the crowd and stage like a pro and prompted audience participation. Keyboardist Martin Boynton set forth sounds and rhythms that complimented every song using a flexible stand like that of the one used by Marilyn Manson's keyboard player. Anthony Flick on guitar, Tony "Scott" Eakes on bass, and Kenny Pardo on drums kept the relentless pace of each song. Overall I was reminded of Rob Zombie with a gritty grind to it. By the third song "Change", a Korn heavy sound, my son was up front for the show. Working the crowd further, singer Myke lamented that it was "the best show they played so far". Aww While techie keyboard beats rolled over into intense drum bashing, sixth song "Not Myself" had the floor jumping, and my son in the mosh pitÉthe smallest guy out there. By the ninth and last song, "F.T.W", whose chorus is exactly as you can imagine, the crowd was sweaty, smiling, and happy they came. I was impressed by the overall showmanship of Short Fuse, and their infectious sound. They're ready.

One of the hardest working bands in metal, shortly after their formation in the previous year, they released their full-length 2005 debut album, "Hate Brought to this Place Called Home". The album, which was produced by Juan Urteaga (Vile, Machine Head, Skinlab) with select tracks engineered by Professional Murder Music frontman Roman Marisak and skillfully mastered by Tom Baker of Precision Mastering (Marilyn Mason, Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails), kick started the band into full gear the moment it dropped.

Bringing their brand of music, they've toured across the US and captured the imagination of thousands of fans at festivals such as Knotfest, Mayhem Fest, Summer Slaughter, All Stars, California Metalfest, Locobazooka, Rockin' Roots, End of Summer Days, Seattle Hempfest, and LocoFest. Their performances have been witnessed by fans at prestigious venues on both coasts such as the Shoreline Amphitheater (California), the Tweeter/Comcast Center (Massachusetts) and W. Palm Beach Intl Raceway (Florida).

Europe has not been spared as Short Fuse has toured there several times including twice as direct support to Six Feet Under, and a number of co-headlining tours with Bloodsoaked.

Their exciting performances earned them the opportunity to share the main stage with several national acts including Alice in Chains, As I lay Dying, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Fear Factory, hedPE, Job for a Cowboy. Killswitch Engage, Mushroomhead, Obituary, Otep, Powerman 5000, Six Feet Under, Static X, Suicide Silence, The Black Dahlia Murder, We Came as Romans, Whitechapel, and Wicked Wisdom. Further, Short Fuse has also played at events with the likes of Anthrax, Disturbed, Korn, Motorhead, Mudvayne, Slayer, and Slipknot.

Short Fuse is known for infecting their audience by delivering unforgettable performances that leave their bruised and intense fans bloodthirsty for more!

With the release of their second album, "Shred the Dead", Short Fuse had grown by leaps and bounds. The new sound implemented a more aggressive, driving, rip-your-face-off style that they feel right at home with. Shred the Dead, which was recorded at Trident Studios by Juan Urteaga and produced by Sleiz E Smith, is 12 tracks of brutal grinding metal that embodies everything Short Fuse is about. From radio friendly tracks such as 'Creature' and 'Defeated' to ruthless tracks like 'Lifeless' and 'Nail it to the Brain' as well as the dark, blackened tones of 'Rape Your Sanity' and 'Shred the Dead', this release raised the bar for the band and set a new standard for original metal.

For their third album release, "Annihilate the Masses", Short Fuse again introduced new pulse-pounding tracks such as the spectacular production 'Swallowed Earth'. Complementing the new material is a collection of soundtracks from selected, live performances and previously unreleased tracks recorded from their first year of formation. As with previous releases, all material was written and performed by Short Fuse. But as a showcase of their incredible range of skills, this album was entirely engineered, produced, and mastered by Short Fuse.
